In April 2003 3Mobile brought us Australia’s first 3G mobile network. 3G allows for a much faster and more reliable transfer of voice and data, especially for mobile Internet use such as browsing websites, checking emails, viewing videos and more.

A joint venture between 3 and Vodafone in June 2009 saw both companies increase their coverage and range of services. In fact you can access the 3G network in most areas of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Perth, Adelaide and the Gold Coast. Provided you have a 3G enabled handset, you can access videoconferencing services, stream live TV, and download music and games.
