About mobile plans
Whether you want to find the most extras and the best value possible for a certain budget or you're simply looking for the cheapest mobile plan available, you'll find a range of Australia’s best options on Phone Buddy.
A post-paid mobile plan will usually run for either 12 months or 24 months and fees might apply if you need to leave your contract early (although some "no contract" plans are available). Try to find a plan that best suits how you use your phone – if you don't call people often but text a lot try to find a plan that includes a bundle of texts or free texts to people on the same network.
Some plans, called "caps", limit your spend to a certain point and include lots of bonus value, for example a $30 cap might include $130 of call and text value. Caps can be very cost-effective but you won’t want to go over the included value amount as that can lead to unexpected and expensive extra usage rates.
If you need a new mobile phone, Phone Buddy allows you to browse plans that are bundled with one of the latest handsets. You can also browse mobile plans that allow you to bring your own phone if you already have a handset. Compare mobile plans with standard features and set call prices or compare mobile caps that include bonus call and text value for a fixed price.
Be sure to match up your mobile plan with your regular usage (try to gauge how, and how much, you will use your phone if you are new to mobile phones). Remember – your mobile plan is supposed to be an invaluable convenience, not a burden, so start comparing and find a great mobile deal today.
