About Palm
The first Smartphone company, Palm bought out Handspring (the original manufacturers of the Treo). Releasing the first PDA with mobile phone capabilities, the Treo 180, in 2002, Palm has since released several updated models. Each phone either uses Palm’s own operating system, Palm OS, or the more popular Windows Mobile.
In Australia Palm is available through 3Mobile, Telstra, Optus and Vodafone. Palm prides itself on providing a “mobile office”, allowing for Internet browsing, email, instant messaging, music, an organiser, as well as the standard phone and SMS functions. Palm’s after sales support is often applauded, with an excellent live chat service available on Palm’s website 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
